Job Title: Security Officer
Department: Health, Safety, Security & Environment
Reports to: HSSE Manager
Location: Wombourne


Overall Purpose


We are looking for a Security Officer to join our site security team on a 12 month FTC.


To ensure the security of the site and; process and record product delivery and removal at all times. Working as a small security team to control the day to day running of all gatehouse operations and administration in line with Company and auditor requirements.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities

1. Process and accurately record the receipt of all raw, chilled and frozen product deliveries to site in-line with Company and auditor requirements.
2. Process and accurately record the details of all waste and by-products leaving site.
3. Respond to the activation of all the site alarms (fire, smoke, sprinkler, ammonia and intruder) as required by procedure.
4. Manager the access of vehicles on to the site, issuing parking permits when access is permitted. Issue main car park parking permits when employees or contractors register a vehicle                                                                                 

5. Receive and process all pre-authorised visitors and contractors entering and leaving site, booking them in and issuing the correct passes and booking them out and collecting passes
6. Day to day control of the access system installed on site, issuing and keeping records of swipe cards.                       
7. Monitor and control the on-site CCTV system
8. Receive all out of office hours telephone calls on behalf of the Company, including customer and consumer complaints; and environmental complaints from the local community. Log and process to the relevant departments
9. Issue and correctly account for any keys given out and received back
10. Issue and take receipt of any Self Certification Absence forms. Record the details of those returned to the gatehouse
11. Hold and log any recorded/special delivery post that arrives to site, obtaining an authorised signature before release.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

12. Operate the fire alarm system                                                                                                                                                        

13. Challenge unsafe behaviours and adhere to the duties required for your role within the Health & Safety policy            

14. Escalate immediately reporting on the status of any non-compliance in the system or process to management for counter measure or immediate remedy
15. Carry out any reasonable additional duties as and when requested
