The Global PMO’s mandate is to deliver SCA across the organization in order to manage inflation, drive loss out of the business and optimize top-line growth. The PMO provides cost strategy from Farm-to-Fork including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Product Profitability and SG&A. The group uses advanced analytics, best-in-class methodologies and agile project management to deliver SCA and partners with the Business Units to provide costing strategy insights across the organization.
Job Description:
As the Senior Financial Analyst at McCain Foods Limited, you will provide business finance partnership and support the PMO across different workstreams for McCain Foods Limited. This role reports to the Director, Global PMO and drives the Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) agenda across the organization, included in McCain’s company-wide priorities. The role will support the workstream with financial analysis to uncover simplification opportunities through opportunity identification, foundation building and execution of business cases toward driving the Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) agenda in the PMO.
In this enterprise-wide role, the SFA will be required to collaborate with specific Workstream leads and other senior-level leaders within McCain to conduct financial analysis and translate this into cost-saving business cases which they support and help to execute across the organization. At the same time on monthly basis, the role will report progress on the SCA savings and maintain the savings initiative tracker for reporting purposes.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business Partner: Support workstreams on financial analysis, developing business cases, reporting savings and execution of specific initiatives and programs, including working with regional partners.
- Modelling: The incumbent will develop and maintain enterprise-wide scale models for business units. They will use financial modelling to deliver strategic insights and recommendations to regional business partners.
- Data: Work closely with the business unit Finance staff to cleanse and reconcile the data, and then collaborate with Workstream Leads and specific Business Unit Leadership to develop creative insights into the business.
- Technical Resource: The SFA will make extensive use of database and spreadsheet technologies, and serve as technical resource for other members of the PMO team and Business Unit resources driving critical business analysis.
- Collaboration: Will play a lead role in implementing a monthly/repeatable analysis tool-kit; and will work closely with the region teams to gain alignment, execute project initiatives, and track performance vs. plan.
- Initiative tracking: Update global cost tracker to ensure accurate planned savings by regions and continuously improve tracking process.
- Reporting: Develop monthly reporting of workstream savings to SCA Strategy Lead
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Accounting, or related fields
- Commercial experience is a strong asset
- Understanding of corporate financial statements
- Strong Excel skills required, and database application skills are highly preferred (e.g. PowerBI and OneStream)
- Proficient in working with very large data sets, exceptional quantitative and analytic skills, and strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to problem solve and adapt in a fluid environment
- Ability to demonstrate cross functional relationship building across all levels of the organization including the executive level through interpersonal and communication skills
- A high sense of urgency and professionalism when taking on new opportunities
