Position Summary

 We are looking for an Enterprise Architect Co-op Student to join us for a 4-month period, starting in January 2024.  This position will be based out of our Toronto location.  

 

The Enterprise Architect (EA) Co-op Student will be supporting the governance of the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and will also provide different automation processes to enhance the team's productivity. 

 

The Team
 
The Enterprise Architecture (EA) team leads, prioritizes and develops the overall EA discipline for the enterprise, in conjunction with the business and IT leaders. We lead the development of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business strategy and requirements.

The EA team acts as an enabler of strategy formulation, and as support for technology innovation, which drives the organization’s top and bottom lines.

 

What You Will Be Working On

  •  Enterprise Architecture Governance administration activities
  • Enterprise Architecture Tool support to different domains such as Business, Data, Application and Technology
  • PowerBI Dashboard activities
  • Enterprise Architecture SharePoint automation
  • Enterprise Architecture templates and diagrams
  • Assist with the preparation of status reporting, artifact review, sign-off and archiving of project artifacts
  • Assist in the development and documentation of business capabilities to ensure requirements are met.

 

What You Will Learn

  •  You will be exposed to the Enterprise Architect practice and work with different architecture domains such as business, data, application and technology. 
  • You will be exposed to the Enterprise Architecture Governance model by attending different forums and helping to manage the scorecards and meeting minutes.  
  • How to navigate thru an Application Portfolio Management (APM) tool and apply changes under direction of the Enterprise Architects
  • Work with the Enterprise Architects to advance development standards, processes, and techniques to support different Enterprise Architecture domains.
  • How to collaborate and track the work in DevOps

 

What You Need to be Successful

  •  Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution within Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related program
  • Creative thinker with exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving competencies.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment
  • Investigate and respond to ad hoc requests as required with a high degree of flexibility, attention to details and ability to prioritize workload effectively
  • Analytical mindset, organizational skills and attention to detail
