JOB PURPOSE:
As member of the Rewards team, manage and communicate the Company’s Global Mobility program including expatriate and relocation programs. With an expert understanding of global immigration and income tax compliance, has oversight of the management and tracking of all mobility costs to ensure global income tax compliance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the Global Mobility strategy by leading the design, implementation and communication of the Company’s Global Mobility programs, ensuring they are competitive with the market, and drive performance and behaviours in support of the business strategy and objectives
- Oversee all expatriate and relocation programs including domestic and international relocations and assignments, ensuring global immigration and tax compliance
- Provide expert guidance on all global mobility elements, and sound advice to HR Business Partners (HRBPs)through research, analysis, & consultation
- Consult with HRBPs and Business Leaders to recommend best assignment structure based upon employee, purpose of assignment; country combinations and tax/social security/immigration requirements; duration of assignment; and career path post-assignment
- Manage third-party service providers including expatriate benefits providers, relocation services providers, and tax and immigration consultants
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) by partnering with the Employee Experience Centre (EEC) to respond to queries and issues, diagnose and resolve process issues where necessary,
- Recommend process and procedures to facilitate partnership with EEC, identifying opportunities for automation and simplification
- Participate as a project team member on various Rewards and Global Mobility related projects
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
- 10-15 years in a global mobility role with strong knowledge of expatriate and relocation processes and practices
- Expert knowledge of tax, immigration and social security regulations worldwide
- Strong knowledge of expatriate benefits offerings and contemporary HR practices
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel
- Working knowledge of HR systems is beneficial, particularly SuccessFactors and ServiceNow
