JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting the execution of communication activities within the Technology Function including the implementation of communication activities for multiple technology projects. As a key member of the OCM team, you will work closely with OCM Managers and Leads and other key stakeholders, to develop and execute innovative, strategic, and engaging communications materials in support of the Change Management efforts within the Technology team and across the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with OCM team members, project management teams and subject matter experts to identify target audience’s requirements and communications needs.
  • Build and execute communications plans to support project change activities, including analyzing audiences, developing key messages, and identifying the right channel, frequency, and sender.
  • Create strategic, compelling materials such as presentations, communication packages, videos, website content, speaking points and executive briefing documents.
  • Publish and manage critical internal channels for the program. Examples: Viva Engage, SharePoint site, Teams Hub.
  • Collaborate with training teams to support the design and delivery of training programs.
  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of change management activities.

 

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Strong understanding of Change Management methodologies and practices.
  • Passionate about communications with a purpose to drive impact.
  • Experience with technology implementations and technology organizations.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle (agile and waterfall).
  • Able to convert ideas and express them concisely and efficiently through a variety of different mediums and channels (written/visual).
  • Proficient with Microsoft O365 (including OneDrive, SharePoint and Yammer) and creative design tools (e.g. Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong writing skills with an exceptional attention to detail.
  • Talented in creating compelling presentations and visuals (infographics, posters, etc.).
  • Experienced with video creation and editing tools.
  • Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while producing high-quality work under tight timelines with minimal guidance.
