ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Our Foodservice team are stamping out those soggy fries. Working in partnership with food outlets up and down the UK it’s our aim to provide the highest quality produce in a format that helps operators bring people together over the food they love. 

 

We are growing our team - and we are looking for Regional Account Managers to manage our ever-growing McCain portfolio, working with operators with 3-30 outlets. Not only will it be your job to grow the core McCain product range, but you’ll also inspire your customers with exciting new brand launches – building and maintaining sustainable, long-term partnerships, as well as winning new targeted business within your region.

Reporting into the Customer Development Manager you’ll be a part of a successful team of Account Managers and it’s your job to….

 

  • Construct compelling propositions to win and grow accounts
  • Use tools (Salesforce, CRM…) to identify and prioritise new business opportunities, from regional pub groups to emerging fast food chains 
  • Use customer & consumer insights to maximise portfolio mix and secure increased menu space and profitability
  • Full P&L responsibility for forecasting and delivering results (pricing, budgeting, delivering volume)
  • Work in partnership with the distributor teams, both internal and external to drive new business and manage existing customers
  • Attend internal meetings - communicating with impact to all stakeholders
  • Supporting the leadership teams as necessary and assume additional responsibilities or project involvement as requested from time to time


ABOUT YOU

 

This role is about building strong relationships and making great connections. It’s a given you’ll already be an Account Manager but you will also…

 

  • Be confident working with P&L
  • Experience of working in a premium branded environment
  • Good knowledge of the food industry
  • Experienced in using CRM systems
  • Demonstrate leadership with best-in class account management including preparation, presentation, customer experience and financial management.
  • A confident negotiator and influencer
  • A winning attitude – someone who strives from success but also quick to learn
  • New business development experience in a fast paced environment – curious about what’s going on in regional and local areas. 
  • A full clean UK driving licence, and comfortable with driving to new places

WHERE WILL I WORK?

 

This is a home-based role. Most of your time will be spent out on the road, engaging with current customers, and building new relationships – as well as sussing out new areas and opportunities of growth for foodservice.
