Line Worker

Perform various tasks that include, but not limited to drilling, filling, inspecting, sorting, and packaging of food products to meet quality specifications and quantity standards.
Perform assignments in accordance with established food safety and quality policies, including all USDA, FDA, and WDA guidelines, procedures and work instructions.
Comply with work rules and standards set forth in the employee handbook.
Display appropriate work ethic in the workplace and group settings, providing a positive influence of employees.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned work sites.
Perform any / all duties as directed by a Supervisor; within safe working conditions.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Read and understand documents relating to the job.
Work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees.
Physical Demands/ ADA Statement:
Lift and move up to 30 lbs continuously.
Bend, stoop and reach using both hands as required to complete the job function.
Work with moving conveyors.
Stand up to 4 hours between breaks.

 

Sanitation Worker

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs all assignments in accordance with established food safety and quality policies; including all USDA, FDA, WDA and SQF Guidelines to ensure food safety.

  • Clean and sanitize the plant to meet quality and bacterial standards imposed by the USDA.
  • Completely clean and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant’s second and first shift, which requires that the sanitation worker work during late evenings/ night/ early morning shifts (3rd shift, specifically).
  • Work in an environment that is wet, humid, and undergoes extreme temperature changes.
  • Work around large processing equipment where chemicals are used to complete the sanitation process.
  • Must be able to work as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and be flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.
  • Lift/ move hoses, equipment, and chemical containers weighing 20-80 lbs. throughout every work shift.
  • Assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts or other devices.
  • Wear employer-specified protective gear.
  • Exposure to chemical cleaning solution (with protective gear).
  • Perform varying tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. during long periods of time.
  • Perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose any danger to self or others.
    COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent schooling.
  • Good paperwork/ documentation skills.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend documents relating to the job.
  • Effectively communicate with individuals of all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work effectively, courteously, and respectively with other employees.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ADA STATEMENT:
  • Able to lift and move 20-80 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Able to bend, stoop, and reach using both hands as required to completing job tasks.
  • Ability to complete a variety of activities including standing, lifting, walking and pushing carts.
  • Will come in early and stay late when needed.
    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
  • Full time; 40 hours per week
  • 3rd shift hours are approximately 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Weekend work (Saturdays and Sundays) as required
    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Employee will be exposed to temperatures of 40⁰F to 60⁰F for the duration of the scheduled shift.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None
    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None
     

Packaging Machine Operator

Operate and maintain case erector, taper, and auto palletizing systems in Packaging. Operator will be responsible for the Wexxar Case Erector, Taper, and Auto Palletizer.

  • Oversees and coordinates the operation as directed by the Supervisor to meet expected Company requirements.
  • Ensures that the shift achieves the quality and production standards in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining sanitation standards.
  • Sets up equipment for operation.
  • Works as a team along with other members of the crew, under stressful conditions, and is flexible and willing to perform varying tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated by the employer.
  • Occasionally operates an electric pallet jack to transport pallets.
  • Establishes and maintains a good working relationship with colleagues, along with the other major and support departments.
  • Completes necessary production reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains product flow and palletizing supplies.
  • Maintains adequate supply of materials to operate (master cases, tape, slip-sheets, pallets, etc.)
  • Troubleshoots mechanical problems with equipment independently. For more complex issues, works with maintenance to resolve technical problem.  
  • Resets equipment after a scheduled stop or an e-stop (emergency stop).
  • Performs all jobs in their assigned area.
  • Participates in factory clean-ups.
  • Emphasizes and promotes good safety practices.
  • Performs SAP transactions for their area, including entering data into Infinity Data System.
  • Performs various tasks while standing, lifting, crouching, etc. over extended periods of time.
  • Performs all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose any danger to self or others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Department Manager and Supervisor.

Special Requirements

  • Requires a high degree of mental skill and a considerable degree of initiative and independence.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to all levels of the operation.
  • Occasionally requires substantial physical effort.
  • Requires considerable care to avoid major equipment damage along with major injury to self and others.
  • Requires electric pallet jack certification.

Requires computer skills.
