Our Senior Financial Analyst is a key player within the North American Sales Finance team, supporting and partnering with the Sales and related teams to profitably grow the businesses. The primary responsibility is to bring strong financial and general business acumen and add value with a customer-centric focus.

The role includes:

• Thoroughly understanding key customers’ operations and how they impact McCain’s current profitability and future growth opportunities;
• Comprehensive Trade Spend management for all customers (accruals, analysis and reporting);
• Supporting the Demand Planning cycle from a top-down (Targets and Forecasts) and bottoms-up (Sales feedback) perspective;
• Contributing to enhancing internal systems and processes enabling faster and higher-quality decision-making for Senior Leaders;
• Providing various ad-hoc data extraction, consolidation, re-organization and analysis tohelp the business understand trends, and assess customers and products from a ‘Volume-Price-Mix’ context;
• ‘Stakeholder’ and ‘Ownership’ mentality is a must; you must feel that you are a majorstakeholder in the business and ‘own’ the numbers (alongside your counterparts). High-quality work is expected; you should be proud of the work that you do for the business as you’ll be a key player in the team
• This is a hybrid role that will be based in Oakbrook Terrace, IL.

How You’ll Add Value:

• Act as a financial business partner to Sales and related teams supporting customer and product profitability via Sales, trade and cost-of-goods-sold analytics
• Contribute to improving sales forecast and proposing actions to mitigate trade-related risks and maximize growth and profit opportunities
• Drive research and analysis of key product drivers, trends, and performance indicators
• Support financial information reporting to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for business-critical decision-making
• Build strong working relationships with business partners across the organization
• Work on other assigned priorities and contribute to the organizational development of the
• North American finance organization in support of our North American businesses

About You:

• Bachelor Degree required (Business, Finance, or Accounting)
• 3+ years of work experience in finance, business, or accounting
• Understanding of accounting and finance practices
• Strong results- and action-oriented mindset
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
• Natural collaboration skills
• Agility in being able to work with different teams, particularly Sales and Marketing, in addition to Finance counterparts and other functions as required
