Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the McCain Global PMO Team, delivering Sustainable Cost Advantage and Sustainable Revenue Management. McCain is leading a growth transformation and Revenue and Portfolio Management is a central and critical capability to our success.  Reflecting this importance, this position will report to the Global Lead of Sustainable Cost Advantage and Sustainable Revenue Management within our Finance organization.   This role will lead the development of the global revenue management function through the application of seven commercial levers: Price Strategy, Product Pricing & Portfolio Management, Trade Optimization, Customer Pricing, Sales Strategy & Execution, Freight and Logistics, and Commercial Governance.

Purpose Of Role

The Sr. Director will be responsible for providing visibility to value creation opportunities, building business cases, and utilizing data and analytics to support these programs. This candidate will collaborate with cross-functional partners to innovate in ways beyond the normal ways of operating that will enable the organization to enhance its competitive position. This individual will play a critical role in defining and implementing strategies to maintain and grow the organization's competitive advantage. She/he will bring in subject matter experts to define and implement best practices and create ways to bring these strategies to life. The Sr. Director will also communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, regarding the progress and results of these initiatives.

 

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a deep technical understanding of revenue management, commercial strategy and strategic pricing. She/he must have a strong analytical background and proven ability to execute commercial strategies, with strong knowledge of project and program management. The individual must have excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. She/he should also possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit and be comfortable working with cross-functional partners to innovate in ways beyond the status quo. Overall, the candidate will be a critical leader in driving profitable growth across the organization.

 

Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Drives change management and builds the capability of the workstream
  • Defines McCain’s Pricing strategy – Translate regional commercial objectives into a channel and segment specific pricing strategy
  • Serves as the global project lead for pricing deep-dives and identification of value leakage across McCain’s commercial process, managing key stakeholders across the globe while providing critical direction to the regionsWorks with the regional business units on the role of pricing and promotion within the business across QSR, Food Service and Retail
  • Evaluates competitor pricing and promotional strategies
  • Develops and implements price pack architecture based on underlying product characteristics
  • Develop and implement trade strategy based on customer value and performance
  • Trade analytics:  Analysis of current trade spend, identification of investment impact, and optimization of trade spend to drive McCain’s commercial objectives
  • Monitoring and providing feedback of the regional portfolios to maintain an optimized portfolio, not allowing SKU creep

Decision Making Authority and Impact:

  • This role will have a high level of autonomy and requires that it is executed with a certain degree of independence
  • The success of the incumbent is dependent upon their interpersonal, organizational and project management skills and their ability to influence and direct others to the optimal course of actions

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) a plus
  • 10+ years of business experience, across Sales, Commercial or Finance
  • 5+ years experience in Pricing and Revenue Management, preferably across Foodservice, QSR and Retail channels
  • Extensive program management experience involving multi-disciplined matrixed and global teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Sound fact-based decision making, responsive and problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering results
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record of identifying and implementing new growth opportunities.
  • Experience working in a global organization and navigating complex business environments.
