Our Global Technology team’s goal is to inspire growth through innovative use of technology and data. McCain has embarked on an ambitious digital transformation across our business from Agriculture, Manufacturing, Supply Chain to how we serve our customer and consumers. 

 

 

This technical leader will be a strategic member of the infrastructure and technology Team and will partner with other

members to drive the strategic digital agenda for the company. Reporting to the VP, Infrastructure Engineering and Operations, this leader will be responsible for building and executing the strategy and vision for cloud, software defined infrastructure, zero-trust security and automated operations. This role will lead global infrastructure and application operations and will set our Cloud and Infrastructure strategy, and deliver all infrastructure services on time, on budget, and of maximum quality and meeting all SLAs. Drawing on advanced experience and skills with technology and governance, this leader will lead our technology through vital infrastructure and operational transformation, serve as a strategic thought leader overseeing infrastructure and outsourced managed services providers.

 

• Establish strategy and vision across the Infrastructure and Operations team. Lead the strategy, design and deployment

of a multi-cloud infrastructure, including software defined scalable compute, storage, and network systems to support

our move to cloud and API architecture

• Partner with Service Providers and technology vendors to ensure SLAs are met, programs are delivered in a timely

manner with best in class end-user experience is delivered

• Partner with the Digital business transformation leader to architect an agile landscape strategy

• Modernize our network footprint with SD WAN roadmap and leverage advances in 5G to optimize the edge footprint for

Digital manufacturing needs

• Modernize the security focusing on Cloud, API, authentication and authorization and DLP technologies

• Lead the workplace transformation to adopt to new ways of working and provide best in class experiences to our end

users wherever they choose to work

• Evaluate and transform as needed the Unified Communication and collaboration technologies in light with changing

collaboration needs

• This leader will have ongoing cost transformation mindset and will drive year on year cost reduction initiatives

• Transform Application operations and evolve to a DevSecOps model. Provide the infrastructure foundation for software

defined cloud native development.

• Enable infrastructure innovation and seek to leverage latest trends that can create business value consistent with the

company’s requirements and expectations, to include SaaS services for rapid service delivery and to minimize capital

infrastructure investments.

 

• Will play technical leadership role in defining enterprise standards and technology architecture and the IT operations governance process

• Lead a consistent, measurable process to operationalize and scale critical initiatives with execution excellence

• Provide leadership and guidance in infrastructure management, network communications, application development and service management that enables the organization to meet its business objectives.

• Lead a distributed team responsible for running a 24x7x365 Infrastructure and Applications Operations organization with staff located in multiple locations across the globe.

• Ensure operations are efficient, customer focused, within budget and are supporting the strategic objectives of the organization

• Develop, recruit, and mentor a high performing team of global leaders across cloud and network, compute, storage and UCC.

• Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction related to cloud service delivery and legacy infrastructure and operations

• Develops opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and removes organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery

• Partner with the Security team to ensure adherence to security and compliance safeguards, policies and procedures

• Establishes key performance indicators, SLA’s, metrics and measurements demonstrating area health. Communicates through operational reviews. Measures and tracks against industrybenchmarks and standards.

• Identify and implements critical metrics vital to manage and monitor the performance of overall operations including capacity, availability, budget, and inventory

• Leads vendor relationship to maintain day to day operations and strategic goals for Data Center Operations SLA’s and

deliverables. Works with current vendor partners to develop and deliver strategic plans. Coordinates all data center vendor contracts, streamlining services required and optimizing overall costs.

• Lead budgeting and forecasting, planning, deployment, incident and problem management, and change management across Cloud/Infrastructure & Application Operations

• Work in a product / Agile team operating model

 

This is a high-profile, global position requiring a tried and experienced operations executive, with expertise in cloud based platforms. • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems management, or equivalent experience, MBA preferred

• 15+ years of experience in an operational, management, or services delivery role in either high-tech or at a Cloud Service Provider with 3+ years in a Sr Director level role

• Direct experience working with Azure, AWS, or GCP; Microsoft and Office 365

• 5+ years of experience handling high\-volume customer\-facing SaaS PaaS IaaS applications is required

• SAP S4 ECC experience is desired.

• 10+ years of upper management experience and leadership skills

• 10+ years hands-on experience in 24x7x365 cloud operations or SaaS Operations

• Direct experience driving continuous improvements in process, cost and operational efficiencies.

• Lead process-improvement efforts and manage the implementation of both business processes and technical solutions.

Drive standards across cross functional teams.

• Adept in leading Global Infrastructure and the team that runs Global Infrastructure to meet regional compliance requirements and achieve 99% up time with high velocity on ticket resolution and issue remediation

• Extensive knowledge of running and maintaining cloud-based and hybrid services, as well as compute, storage, and

network transformation including SD-WAN.

• Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic

Global environments.

• Extensive knowledge managing outsourced service providers.

• ERP experience with complex implementations. SAP S/4 experience is desired

• Passion for adoption / learning new technologies like data, AI-ML, Robotics,DevSecOps, IOT

• Architecture, generative AI and Blockchain.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of the Deployment Analyst team into a mature project delivery team with the necessary agile capabilities, revitalizing and revamping its functions for enhanced performance.
  • Take full accountability for leading the development and implementation of major I&O project deliveries, including but not limited to Technology Evergreen, SD-WAN, and Microsoft Voice.
  • Lead and oversee future projects supporting the Business, Technology, and I&O strategies
  • Take full accountability for I&O work packages that are required to support successful global projects such as MDIxAI
  • Responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders
  • Provide strong leadership to the infrastructure operations team, setting clear goals and expectations
  • Responsible for managing project teams, developing project plans, and ensuring that all project deliverables are met
  • Drive operational efficiency within the infrastructure team by optimizing processes, streamlining workflows, and implementing best practices.
  • Responsible for managing project budgets and ensuring that all projects are completed within budget constraints.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technology trends. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster a growth mindset and fail-fast culture that promotes continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align infrastructure operations with broader business objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, networking, cloud technologies, and data center management.
  • Experience with vendor management, contract negotiations, and service level agreements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational efficiency and process improvements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Project management expertise and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
  • Ability to inspire and engage a diverse workforce to effectively meet current and future organizational requirements.
  • Experience building, empowering, motivating, and inspiring high-performing data and engineering teams and instilling a culture of creativity, accountability, and productivity.
