The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Sr. Finance Manager, Direct Sales North America, with all relevant cost, competitor, capacity, customer, and consumer information required to make forward-looking pricing action decisions for McCain North America QSR & Key Accounts business.
The Senior Financial Analyst will have strong financial analysis and accounting skills.  The Sr. Financial Analyst will have responsibility for assembling financial data, performing financial analysis and providing sufficient periodic financial information to support the planning and decision making processes that ensure profitability and sustainability of McCain Foods.  This position will have regular interaction with other personnel in the corporate, FP&A and operational accounting groups, as well as other cross-functional teams.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Manage pricing performance and appropriate analysis for the commercial organization, supporting various channels of the Company while developing recommendations that optimize McCain’s long term profitability. 
  • Develop and maintain price forecasting model to support planning and analyze monthly/quarterly vs. appropriate benchmarks, make value-added recommendations, and prepare ad hoc analyses as requested in order to facilitate the formation of sound business plans and strategies.
  • Creates/implements/performs various financial analyses including, but not limited to: product/customer profitability, key customers request, trends and drivers, customer bid proposal support, pricing and promotion, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Stays current on market conditions and market pricing on competing product categories and develops recommendations to changes in business or product category pricing strategy.
  • Suggest opportunities to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the pricing process.
  • Analyze and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results in order to provide full understanding of such results. Assist in identifying opportunities and risks associated with such results and compare results to relative benchmarks.
  • Ensure that McCain’s pricing actions are realized.
  • Challenge pushback and acceptance of status quo and enlist a continuous improvement mantra for the organization.
  • Works collaboratively with others and institutes best practices in responsibilities and shares among team members.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Accounting, Finance.  
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office.  Prior experience working with relational databases and report writers desirable. 
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in financial analysis, financial planning, accounting, and/or Pricing Management is required.
  • Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
  • Experience with CPG or other food manufacturing companies strongly preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage responsibilities proactively.
