The Sales Planning Manager will assist the Sales Planning Director in providing strategic guidance and tactical support to the Sales organization and cross-functional partners. This role will synthesize various data from internal and external sources in support of McCain’s goal of conducting more intelligent and value-added interactions with business partners. The Sales Planning Manager will act as liaison for the Commercial organization locally as well as globally in support of annual initiatives, strategic executions, and analysis of the business. The role will proactively assess and consult on all businesses channels.



  • Lead and manage business analytics for the Commercial Sales team as it pertains to:
    • Standardized sales reporting
    • Overall Business performance tracking
    • Customer business reviews
    • Financial performance
  • Synthesize data from various sources (direct shipment data, end user claims, syndicated data, 3rd party distributor data, Salesforce, PROS) and provide insight and recommendations on business
  • Facilitate training development and adoption of ways of working related to reporting platforms, dashboards, analytics, data integrity and related insights to the business
  • Lead and develop two-person team that facilitates listed responsibilities and functions
  • Utilize IRI syndicated data for Commercial Sales-faced analytics and insights
  • Gain understanding of Salesforce platform in order to utilize the system and provide secondary administration
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide recommendations/insights in support of Regional and Global exercises and projects



  • College degree required
  • 5 or more years foodservice sales planning, sales or sales support (e.g. analyst, etc.). 
  • Experience or exposure to marketing, finance, forecasting and/or project management experience also preferred
  • Advanced computer skills especially Microsoft Excel and/or database management software;  CRM software and SAP experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills, report design and generation, clear written and verbal communication, project leadership
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple initiatives of varying complexity
  • Ability to analyze situation or procedures and willingly communicate improvements or make meaningful decisions
  • Works well in collaboration and sharing and is approachable by all levels of the organization
