Reporting to the VP Infrastructure & Operations, the Director IT Regional Services – Americas is responsible for delivering a quality client computing experience for McCain employees to enable business capabilities and services throughout the organization.

 

The Director IT Regional Services – Americas brings current knowledge and future vision for the function including its strategy, service offerings and workforce. The Director is a senior stakeholder in all relationships with externally sourced support and operations capabilities.

 

As a key member of the senior, I&O leadership team this role contributes to the development and execution of the I&O strategy and is responsible for ensuring the Regional Services – Americas team is aligned to positioning I&O to deliver compelling business value.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Works with the VP Infrastructure & Operations and other senior stakeholders to shape our I&O Strategy
  • The functional areas of IT Regional Services - Americas include desktop/laptop and mobile hardware, desktop operating system, desktop productivity software, and file and printing services management.
  • Responsible for the deployment and adoption of Microsoft 365 productivity and collaboration tools (Office, Teams, Yammer, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Overseeing support activities in conjunction with other I&O teams, such as Operations & Platform Support, Network & UC Services, and OT Support, to ensure the services and technology perform well in production
  • Improve functional and organizational performance through the application of original thinking to existing and emerging methods, processes, products, and services.
  • Works with the VP Infrastructure & Operations on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget
  • Collaborates with the Information Security team to ensure all support and operations embrace and apply the security strategy
  • Provides oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management
  • Define and report on operations KPIs and metrics that represent progress against goals
  • Create a broad network of business relationships to strengthen our understanding of the market and best practice, and industry trends
  • Partner with the HR function to build talent within the function

 

Qualifications  

 

  • Degree in computer science or a technology-related field, or equivalent work- or education-related experience
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of previous experience in technology operations, technology development & support management (at least three must be in a senior leadership role)
  • Experience managing budgets over $10M and administrative management and team development of at least 30 staff
  • Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and IT
  • Proven track record for developing, managing, measuring, improving, and scaling regional support operations. Performing these functions within an ITIL based structure is a must
  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding, dynamic environment and meet overall objectives
  • Strong experience in managing third-party relationships
