We are looking for a Site Quality Manager for the Matougues plant. It is a senior managerial role within one of the largest French-Fries factories in Europe. This position leads the site Quality team to assure the on-going production of high quality and safety products that comply with the Quality policy, Legislation and meet customer and consumer expectations. The Site Quality Manager is playing a key role in the site’s everyday quality activities but also the strategy delivery, through deployment of key projects with focus on Quality and Food Safety as well as cultivation of the right QFS mindset within the site.


You are a member of the Plant management team preparing McCain Matougues for the future. You are budget responsible for the Quality department. You report to the Quality Operations Manager Europe and you are part of the Quality Leadership Team Europe. 




  • Manage, engage and develop the QA/QC team of 9 people (4 direct reports & 5 indirect). Implement ways of working of a high performing team to assure skills development and resources planning;
  • As a plant leadership team member, play a key role in creation and implementation of site strategy and masterplan;
  • Deploy and maintain food safety policies and programs like HACCP, GMP’s, sanitation, food defense, pest control and quality;
  • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of site quality systems;
  • Organize and supervise internal and external audits in accordance with the guidelines of the quality systems;
  • Accountable for cultivating a QFS mindset on site;
  • Manage budget and resources allocation for the site.




  • Master’s Degree, in Food Technology or Food Processing
  • Relevant work experience (+5 years): manager of a quality department in the process industry;
  • Knowledge of (inter)national quality standards (including BRC, HACCP, AIB)
  • Experience in raising a quality system in a production organization;
  • Business thinking: Able to connect business needs with external capabilities
  • Collaboration: Regarded as a constructive team player and have a strong sense of partnership behavior
  • Communication: Ability to communicate within a complex organization environment
  • Capacity to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Diversity mind-set: Ability to manage in a matrix organization and across regions and cultures
  • Fluent in French and good level of English
