We have an exciting opportunity for a Plant Electrician to join our team at our Smithton Tasmania site. You will be working as part of the Engineering team, providing electrical maintenance of equipment, processes and services to ensure optimal plant performance.

About the Role

• Responsible for the service, maintenance and repair of electrical systems of the plant equipment.
• Work alongside the production teams to ensure maximum availability and efficiency of our production facility.
• Respond to breakdown calls during your shift to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
• Participate in the maintenance programs through SAP that includes preventative, corrective and breakdown responses.
• Working on a predominantly 12 Hour Shift rotating roster. Shift allowances and overtime being remunerated accordingly for a competitive salary. 

About You
We are looking an individual who will be on the tools and has

•      A grade electrical licence (must be eligible to hold a Tasmanian licence)

•    Strong skills in fault finding and problem solving 

•    Current CPR certificate, preferably with a LVR certificate

•    Experience in instrumentation desired but not essential

•    The ability to safely work as an individual and within a team environment and follow Company policy and procedures

•    Ability to work 12 hour shifts 

•    Work collaboratively with others across the organisation

•    Willingness and ability to learn and develop skills on the job

•    PLC experience desirable

•    Previous manufacturing / production plant experience desirable
