Position Title: Delivery Lead (Finance)

Reporting to the Director, Finance Portfolio, the Delivery Lead will effectively collaborate with our Global Finance Team to set and lead a company-wide, business-driven strategy focused on a continuous improvement plan for systems, process and people which ultimately will support one of the key Corporate strategic pillars “Sustainable Cost Advantage”. 

 

Working closely with global/regional Finance, and functional stakeholders/users, this role is instrumental in leading the design and execution of solutions in SAP Finance, Consolidation and Financial Planning and Analysis solutions.   

 

The candidate will have a record of having been part of transformative initiatives, demonstrating an ability to influence the business to achieve rapid step-change in results. Candidates must be hands on, demonstrate a strong intellect and superior skills in communications, combined with a drive to deliver results. 

 

The role of the Delivery Lead is to lead the deployment of systems and is accountable for design and configuration. This role will lead the deployment of best in class processes that conforms to audit requirements, creating supporting policies, and drive process changes with global and regional teams. 

 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role is responsible for providing design advice in SAP Finance and leading the development and implementation of finance solutions and processes to drive efficiency and standardization globally. 
  • Support the organization’s finance systems and processes to ensure the design is meeting current business requirements. Will facilitate the development of Detailed Feasibility Studies (DFS) for proposed initiatives including cost of proposed systems and supporting business justification. 
  • Keepers of the global design for finance processes.  Ensure that all enhancements follow the design principles for global applicability and only deviate where legal and regulatory requirement dictate.  Focus on standard “out of the box” functionality and minimize customization. 
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver the solution. 
  • Deployment, training and implementation of systems and tools
  • KPI monitoring, Includes: 
    • Capturing and documenting comprehensive business requirements 
    • Creating functional specifications (translating business requirements into instructions that can be used by the technical developers to design the solution) 
    • Deliver high quality technology solutions that meet business requirements within the agreed upon schedule
    • Achieve high adoption of solutions by business users
    • Assist in evaluation and selection of new software solutions 
  • Creating/writing tests scripts and working with users to ensure proper system testing 
  • System Enhancement and Upgrades: Responsible for evaluating impact of Enhancement pack and Service pack upgrades. Will engage with testing solution prior to go live and support the business through Hypercare periods. 
  • Monitor status of business readiness activities including training to support local deployments during deployment of new solutions or enhancements 
  • Develop standards and business rules for data quality maintenance and cleanup for Finance relevant data objects. 
  • Business Engagement – Works with Finance Process Owners to identify and plan continuous improvement initiatives in finance systems and processes

 

 

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated successful work experience in providing design advice and expertise in SAP Finance systems and tools to support business processes
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science or related disciple  
  • Master’s Degree in Business (asset) 
  • Consumer goods industry experience will be an asset 
  • Deep understanding and expertise in multiple functional work streams: General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Controlling, Project Systems, Asset Accounting, Intercompany Transactions, Profitability Analysis, Consolidation and FP&A
  • Ability to lead the design and implementation of solutions in SAP FI-CO.  A thorough understanding and hands on experience utilizing SAP Analytics Cloud, OneStream or other Finance Consolidation and Reporting Tools
  • Proven experience as a stream lead working with multi-disciplined, matrixed global teams and multi-cultural transformations 
  • Strong knowledge of finance best practices and interdependencies; lean process kills 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of programs
