Position Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer in Food Processing

We are looking for our new Continuous Improvement Engineer in Food Processing in charge of identifying, organizing, coordinating, and implementing diverse initiatives to support our environmental challenges, with specific focus on energy performance optimization in line with our objectives of CO2 emission reduction in the region and water performance optimization. Within this role you will report to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager Continental Europe.

 

This role is located in continental Europe, and you could be based either in Harnes (France) or Lewedorp (the Netherlands). You will travel up to 30% to our several plants within continental Europe (3 in France, 2 in Belgium, 3 in the Netherlands and 1 in Poland).

 

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • You are leading diverse and multiple activities and projects from preliminary studies to capital preparation, implementation and start up. You will support plant teams for sustainment and improvement of their Environmental and Energy.

 

  • You will be in charge of performing technical studies: from designing, testing to evaluation of costs (reductions) to proposing the most suitable technologies to improve environmental performance of equipment/installation.

 

  • You will perform pilot tests: selecting and developing effective teams, anticipate and prepare budget and reporting via structured documentation and meetings.

 

  • You are actively involved in commissioning activities and providing advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.

 

  • You will audit existing installations and conduct performance analysis.

 

  • You will improve the Real Time Management Toll on Water, Energy and CO2.

 

  • You will animate meetings to ensure continuous improvement and bench marking across the different plants on Water, Energy and CO2 performance in the region.

 

Profile:

 

  • You have an engineering or Master’s Degree background with 3 to 5 years of experience within sustainability.

 

  • You have excellent (project) management skills to make sure teams work efficiently together and are engages.

 

  • You are experienced in working with PowerBI and AutoCAD.

 

  • You are shop floor oriented with direct operational contacts.

 

  • You are fluent in English.

 

  • You have excellent organizational and communicative skills.

 

  • Your strong analytical skills and innovative & creative mindset will help you in solving problems.
