We are looking for a superstar Foodservice Sales Representative to fill a 12 month maternity leave contract, who will be responsible for sales in the Auckland – Auckland North areas. Additional Regional travel may be required. This role will report to the National Field Manager, NZ and responsible for servicing and managing all Distributor and End User accounts within the allocated territory.

The successful candidate will have the right entrepreneurial attitude and will be a self-starter, who can communicate effectively at all levels and have the ability to work autonomously whilst contributing to team goals.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

About the role

• Sales generation through maintaining and developing strong business relationships 
• Proactive reporting of all sales requirements
• Contribute as an effective team member of the Foodservice Team
• Ensure adherence to all corporate policies
• Conduct ‘cook ups’ and product presentations while visiting distributors
• Complete call cycle planning and update customer databases

About you

• Previous experience working as a sales representative within the food industry would be advantageous
• Demonstrated skills in generating sales and achieving success in a fiercely competitive environment
• Relevant chef experience or food backgrounds would be considered advantageous
• A self-starter, motivated to seek beyond specific position responsibilities
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Great organisational and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office, and able to analyse business data and report outcomes
• Ability to express a dedicated passion for food and sales
• Driven to excel in a highly competitive market and deliver exceptional customer service
